(1) The Jail Administrator shall arrange suitable accommodation for the prisoner. (2) Separate buildings shall be provided for the accommodation of male and female prisoners in each prison. But until such a building is arranged, female and male prisoners will have to be kept in separate parts (blocks) from the front of the building with separate arrangements for movement. (3) Separate toilet and bath house shall be provided for male and female prisoners in the jail. (4) Subject to sub-sections (2) and (3), the following prisoners shall be kept in a separate room from other prisoners:- (a) Detainee, (b) Third sex, (c) Communicable disease, (d) Unsound mental condition, (e) Convicted for a serious and heinous crime as per the prevailing law, (f) Of a nature to be kept in a special security cell as per section 18.
(5) Arrangements shall be made as specified for the residence, toilet, bath house of disabled or third gender prisoners.
